Introduction 3 as they relate to the commencement of the Armenian Genocide in 1915 at its centennial. JOTSA’s book review section has also expanded to include an additional review editor, Metin Atmaca, who is commissioning reviews on recently published books in Turkey in languages other than English related to Ottoman and Turkish Studies. We at JOTSA feel this is a critical service to our field and are grateful to Dr. Atmaca for taking on this important responsibility. JOTSA continues to appreciate the work of William Blair as book review editor for English language books related to Ottoman and Turkish Studies. The third section: “Comments and Responses” contains a short essay by Ehud Toledano commenting on Virginia Aksan’s review article “What’s Up in Ottoman Studies?” published in JOTSA’s fall 2014 issue (1:1-2) and Virginia Aksan’s reply. This thoughtful and provocative exchange directly relates to and continues the conversation on the current and future state of Ottoman and Turkish Studies. JOTSA’s editors and editorial board would like to express their appreciation to all the anonymous reviewers who have so willingly given of their time to peerreview this issue’s articles. We understand that this is a sacrifice of precious time and sincerely appreciate their efforts in making this a high quality journal. As editors, we also want to give a special thanks to JOTSA’s Graduate Assistant, Erdem Ilter, who is leaving the journal and Binghamton University to begin his doctoral studies at UCLA. He has provided a tremendous service to JOTSA in terms of organization, administration, and has played a significant role in reviving this journal.
