In this 1907 detail view of a postcard from Detroit Publishing Company, the Grand View Hotel is depicted on the edge of the south rim of the canyon with a soaring view of the canyon and steep cliffs. The image is strikingly similar to a postcard from the same era of El Tovar Hotel, the Santa Fe Railroad and Fred Harvey's lodging option just a few miles west of Grand View Point ().
