Abstract

Abstract:

Literatures of Slavic emigration have become an important component of American multiculturalism. These literatures are the source of information about Eastern, Southern, and Western Europe. They are characterized by some common axiological paradigms and specific models of identity formation. Born out of the experience of exile, they bring cultural diversity to America by revealing the historical traditions and values of other peoples and exposing elements of Slavic national and ethnic originality and peculiarity.
