This article explores the progression of an original Caribbean cinema language, "Caribbeing," developed by Yao Ramesar, manifest in his most recent feature film Haiti Bride (2014, Trinidad and Tobago). Ramesar calls this latest articulation of Caribbeing an "eyealect," that is, a visual correlative to the spoken dialects of the region.
