Abstract:
This poem deals with the distorting effect that parental addiction can have on a child’s understanding of home. The poem hopes to relieve this distortion through a more stable understanding of consumption.
This poem is firmly rooted in the physicality of writing. The speaker hopes to use the raw-bone power of poetry to move past a lifetime of abuse/addiction.
