David C. Mahan is the President ofthe Rivendell Institute at Yale University and a lecturer in religion and literature at YaleDivinity School's Institute ofSacred Music. Jennifer Kilgore-Caradee completed a thesis about Geoffrey Hill's poetry in French. She teaches English at the University of Caen and has published articles about contemporary poetry in both French and English. Alex Shakespeare is a doctoral candidate at Boston College. He is beginning work on a dissertation on the significance of translation in twentieth-century American poetry.
