Garrett Hongo

Garrett Hongo was born in Volcano, Hawaii, and grew up on the North Shore of Oahu and in Los Angeles. His latest book is The Mirror Diary: Selected Essays. Currently he is at work on The Ocean of Clouds (poems) and Soundtrack: An Autobiography in Stereo (nonfiction). He teaches at the University of Oregon, where he is Distinguished Professor of Arts and Sciences.
