Abstract

Abstract:

This study examines the way in which three rhetorical formulas from the New Testament are echoed in Don Quixote. The first, which comes from John 15:30 and appears in part one, chapter one of the novel, is an unexpected treatment, thus making its origin almost imperceptible. The other two, which are more transparent, rely on techniques of artistic refraction in the creation of an altered reference.
