Abstract:
It is argued here that the Zhuangzian conception of the self can be understood via Galen Strawson's theories of thin subjects of experience and process metaphysics. I adopt Strawson's two uses of "I" to understand wu 吾 and wo 我 in the context of "I (wu 吾) have lost myself (wo 我)."
