• Mercy Brown-Luthango is a Senior Research Officer with the African Centre for Cities, part of the School of Architecture, Planning and Geomatics at the University of Cape Town.
• Samukele Hadebe is a Senior Researcher at Chris Hani Institute, COSATU House and a Research Associate, Department of Sociology, Rhodes University.
• Mark Hunter is Associate Professor of Geography at the University of Toronto and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
• Bill Freund is the former Professor of Economic History, University of KwaZulu-Natal. He is the author of The African City: a history.
• Lizette Lancaster is the Manager of the South African Crime and Justice Information and Analysis Hub at the Institute for Security Studies.
• Sandile Mbatha is a Senior Manager in the Research and Policy Advocacy Department in eThekwini Municipality.
• David Moore professes Development Studies at the University of Johannesburg and is currently a Visiting Fellow at Clare Hall, University of Cambridge.
• Ngaka Mosiane is a Senior Researcher at Gauteng City-Region Observatory, which is a partnership between the Gauteng Provincial Government, the University of Johannesburg, the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and organised local government in Gauteng.

• Dennis Edward Webster is a Johannesburg-based journalist at New Frame.

An MS Word submission of your article should be emailed to submissions@transformationjournal.org.za. Submit a short biographical note – see previous issue; with postal and e-mail addresses, and telephone number; also position, department or unit in which employed, university/institution information, on separate page.
Articles should preferably be less than 8,000 words, but longer articles may be submitted. Brief abstracts are required, to accompany the submission.
It is essential that submissions follow the style format employed in the most recent issues of the journal. This is especially the case with references and notes. While we recognise that some references (such as to archival material) are more appropriately located in the note format, these are to be seen as exceptions.
Copies that do not approximate the style requirements will be returned to authors for resubmission.
