Ingrid Nelson is Associate Professor of English at Amherst College. She is the author of Lyric Tactics: Poetry, Genre, and Practice (2017).

Michael North is Professor of English at UCLA. His most recent book is What Is the Present? (2018).

John L. Rowlett is an unaffiliated scholar. He received his doctorate in English from the University of Virginia, where he was Program Director for the Commonwealth Center for Literary and Cultural Change. He has served as Advisory Editor for New Literary History and is editor of Genre Theory and Historical Change: Theoretical Essays of Ralph Cohen (2017).

Erica Weaver is Assistant Professor of English at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she is working on a book about the role of distraction in the development of early medieval literature and literary theory. She is also coeditor of The Legacy of Boethius in Medieval England: The Consolation and its Afterlives (2018) and Dating Beowulf: Studies in Intimacy (forthcoming).

Jeffrey J. Williams has published more than seventy interviews with critics, philosophers, and writers. His most recent book is How to Be an Intellectual: Essays on Criticism, Culture, and the University (2014), and he is finishing Brave New University (forthcoming). He is professor of literary and cultural studies at Carnegie Mellon University and during fall 2019 Distinguished Visiting Research Fellow at the Advanced Research Collaborative at the CUNY Grad Center.

Liesl Yamaguchi is Assistant Professor of French at Boston College. She is currently writing a book on tone-color synesthesia in the arts and sciences of nineteenth-century Europe. Recent publications include several articles on Stéphane Mallarmé and a translation of Väinö Linna's Unknown Soldiers, the first work of Finnish literature to appear with Penguin Classics.
