In July 2018 the Sewanee Review held its first Fiction & Poetry Contest. Out of nearly five hundred submissions, judge Dan Chiasson selected "Locomotion," by Cate Lycurgus, as the winner of the poetry competition, and judge Danielle Evans chose "On Being Human," by Lily Meyer, as the best among the fiction. In addition to a one-thousand-dollar prize, the winners have earned publication in this issue of the Review.
