Abstract

In this paper, I defend an interpretation of the Mūlamadhyamakakārikā which takes it to be attempting to undermine all existential judgments. I then argue that introducing the Kantian idea of categories to the text’s methodology provides it significant systemic support. Kant’s metaphysical views are clearly distinguished from Nāgārjuna’s.
