Jess Ruliffson
Jess Ruliffson is a nonfiction cartoonist. She is the author of several comics based on interviews with veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Her work has appeared in the Gainesville Sun, the Nib, BuzzFeed, the Boston Globe, Wilson Quarterly, and Pantheon Books. Her comic, I Trained to Fight the Enemy, was shortlisted for Slate's 2017 Cartoonist Studio Prize. She teaches at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
