Abstract

Abstract:

Franny Choi dismantles the straight, cis male narrative that Aiieeeee!: An Anthology of Asian American Writers has framed in discussions of Asian and Pacific Islander American literary canon. She centers a new and changing APIA literary canon, one headed by queer and femme poets that challenge white supremacy and heteropatriarchy, as well as traditional boundaries of syntax, form, and subject matter.
