  • Luis Andrés Murillo Best Article of 2016: A. Robert Lauer
  • Bruce R. Burningham

The Cervantes Society of America is delighted to announce that A. Robert Lauer’s Fall 2016 article, “La segunda parte de ‘El coloquio de los perros’ (1635) de Ginés Carrillo Cerón y su relación con ‘El coloquio de los perros’ de Miguel de Cervantes: Proceso y síntesis de un marco narrativo cervantino,” has been named the winner of the 2016 Luis Andrés Murillo Best Article of the Year award.

The anonymous jury for the 2016 selection consisted of three members of the journal’s Editorial Board. These esteemed colleagues evaluated all the articles published in Cervantes during 2016 (not counting book reviews and notes) and chose Lauer’s essay as the year’s winning article.

The Cervantes Society announced this award at its 2018 annual business meeting, which occurred in connection with the March 2018 annual meeting of the Renaissance Society of America in New Orleans.

Congratulations, Robert! [End Page 9]
