In our September issue, we recommended Nick Seluk's The Sun Is Kind of a Big Deal but noted a couple of reservations about terminology. We've since gone on a deep information dive involving NASA, an Astronomy 101 textbook, and opinions from a couple of astronomers. We've concluded that if you ask two astronomers you get three opinions, that terminology for how heavenly bodies and earthly items turn in circles is inconsistent, and that meteors are really confusing. We've also concluded that we used an incorrect word ourselves—while the questions about terminology may be worth raising, the uses in the book cannot be termed "flubs," as we stated.
