This article centers on the relationship between poetry and architecture in three works by Nathalie Quintane, Jean-Michel Espitallier, and Vannina Maestri. The three books feature their texts as well as pictures, sketches, notes, and models by the architects of the buildings considered: the Le Corbusier viaduct in Lille; the Z5 stadium in Aix-en-Provence; and the A Stazzona theatre in Pioggiola, Corsica. Architecture and poetry interact and are intricately woven to create original pieces of work. The resulting hybrid compositions are representative of a trend in contemporary French poetry, largely influenced by poststructuralist thought, and in particular by Deleuze and Guattari.
