Abstract

résumés:

French poetic practice of the last twenty years has increasingly engaged with a range of arts, media, and disciplines. This issue of L'Esprit Créateur looks beyond the longstanding association between poetry in French and the plastic arts to examine the ways in which it interacts with translation, digital technologies, legal and political documents, electronic music, performance, photography, cinema, architecture, and spiritism. The introduction situates recent French poetry in relation to debates concerning its purpose and philosophical influences in the second half of the twentieth century, arguing that poetic practice now focuses on the forming and transforming of new poetic objects.
