Abstract

Abstract:

We reflect on the public and feminist pedagogy of our collaborations, including our efforts to align theory with practice in our work and also on the affective dimension (particularly the joy) of working together. Specifically, we discuss our shared labors planning two consecutive transnational feminist conferences while we were also working together, in governance/leadership contexts, on several institutional and policy matters. Drawing from our shared commitments to inclusive feminist pedagogy and practice, intersectional feminisms, and engaged learning, we identify the need to take risks, be open to new possibilities, identify shared commitments and responsibilities, depart from one's comfort zone(s), navigate resistance and welcome change, and to be mindful of how both the small and large details matter, politically and materially.
