Abstract

Abstract:

Dead Theory: Derrida, Death, and the Afterlife of Theory, a collection of essays edited by Jeffrey R. Di Leo, provides a wide range of approaches interrogating the relationship between Theory and death. It considers the relationship through three groupings: the “death of Theory,” “death in Theory” and “theory of death.” Eleven essays explore this three-layered relationship through a variety of angles, all the while pointing to a future resurrection of Theory.
