This newest issue of Asian Perspectives conveys a sense of the diverse research approaches by archaeologists working across Asia and the Pacific. We continue to be impressed by the high quality of original manuscripts submitted and the constructive reviews from an inspiring community of scholars.

We hope that you can join us in appreciating the contributions of all of the members of our Editorial Board over the last several years, while welcoming new board members. Their active dedication has underwritten much of the recent success of the journal’s output and timely production. As in most journals, the Editorial Board needs to be dynamic to match the needs of the journal’s readership, our changing field of archaeology, and of course the board members themselves. We recommend you glance over the masthead in each issue to recognize the new members of the Editorial Board as we have had several changes in recent issues. We wish to express our sincere appreciation to the board members who have rotated off for their valuable service and our gratitude to new board members who have joined us. The most updated information on the current board can always be found on the journal’s website maintained by University of Hawai‘i Press at www.uhpress.hawaii.edu/title/ap/. We also appreciate the continuing valuable assistance of all those who help us produce each issue of the journal, including especially our Editorial Assistant, Nathaniel Erb-Satullo, and Managing Editor, Jaida Samudra.
