Abstract:

How can digital tools help learners 'do' history?" This paper explores how digital tools can help promote critical thinking and inquiry as scholars of Latin America rethink approaches to research, collaboration, and production of scholarly work. In particular, it highlights relevant and engaging resources for research and teaching Latin American studies with a focus on our own experiences promoting historical inquiry, and using visualization and presentation tools, digital storytelling programs, and social media platforms. We also share our personal journeys using digital tools for research, collaboration, and creating exhibits.
