The Native Plants Journal is designed to serve on-the-ground professionals whose responsibilities include working with native plant species for purposes of conservation, revegetation, propagation, landscaping, and related tasks. Included in the journal are articles that provide the latest concepts in native plant management and utilization. To facilitate this process, each year the summer issue of the journal contains a listing of vendors for native plant products. We work collaboratively with the Reforestation, Nurseries, and Genetics Resources (RNGR) group, which maintains an online national database of nursery and seed suppliers that support the propagation of forest and native plant materials. In this issue, more than 1000 native plant vendors are listed, and they cover a geographical area that includes nearly all regions of Canada and the United States. For those working on native plant projects, this valuable resource improves the chances of successfully completing research or utilitarian projects. The University of Wisconsin Press Journals staff and Candace Akins (NPJ Managing Editor) do a wonderful job each year of preparing this Native Plant Materials Directory. Many thanks to the team for the hours of work committed to this service. I hope you find this information useful and will utilize the directory in planning your native plant projects each year.
