Abstract

Abstract:

These three excerpts from "Like Nebraska" are part of a 30 page series of poetic gestures which study the movements between people and nature in a rural landscape. Structured by openings in simile, these studies contain an inherent eroticism, as what is experienced emotionally is only articulable by its relation to the physical. The narrative of people is made possible, then swallowed, by the narrative of land.
