Abstract

Abstract:

This article proposes a devising model for the classroom that is based on alternative theater as a politico-aesthetic space that facilitates a dialogical encounter between the diverse activities that constitute drama-in-education. The opening part of the article discusses the concept of alternative theater through its central models, while the second part presents the devising model for a theatrical event in the classroom, based on a number of guidelines, using examples from a workshop for kindergarten teachers at a teachers’ college in Israel.
