Felice Blake is an associate professor of English at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She specializes in the study of black culture and politics. Dr. Blake is the author of Black Love, Black Hate: Intimate Antagonisms in African American Literature with Ohio State University Press.

Vernita Hall is the author of Where William Walked (Willow Books, 2018), winner of the Willow Books Grand Prize for Poetry and of the Robert Creeley Prize from Marsh Hawk Press, and The Hitchhiking Robot Learns About Philadelphians (Moonstone, 2017), winner of the Moonstone Chapbook Contest. Her poems and essays appear or are forthcoming in numerous journals and anthologies. Hall holds an MFA in creative writing from Rosemont College and serves on the poetry review board of Philadelphia Stories.

Damara Martin is a second-year doctoral student at Florida Atlantic University in the comparative studies program. Her concentrations are anthropology and linguistics. She received a BA in English and an MFA in creative writing from the University of Miami. Her interests include lyric essay, semiotics, critical race theory, and African American folklore.

Ursula McTaggart is an associate professor of English at Wilmington College in Ohio. Her previous work includes Guerrillas in the Industrial Jungle: Radicalism's Primitive and Industrial Rhetoric (SUNY P, 2012).

Dr. Hannah-Rose Murray is a research associate at the University of Nottingham, UK. Her work focuses on transatlantic African American protest, with specificity as to black men's and women's uses of performance, antislavery networks, and visual and print cultures in challenging white supremacy.

Dana L. Stringer is the author of the chapbook In Between Faith (Black Picket Fence, 2014). She holds an MFA in creative writing from Antioch University Los Angeles, where she also serves as an instructional facilitator and instructor in the Inspiration2Publication online program.

Sarah Wyman teaches comparative literature and directs the Faculty Development Center at the State University of New York at New Paltz. Her teaching and scholarship treat twentieth-century U. S. and European literature, especially verbal/visual intersections between poetry and painting. Her poems have been published in Ekphrasis, Mudfish, Petrichor, Aaduna, and A Slant of Light: Contemporary Women
