Abstract

Abstract:

In this conversation with documentary filmmaker Mike Dibb, two fundamental strategies in his work are explored: montage of images and the use of conversation. Dibb reflects on various ways interviews are used throughout the process of making documentary and on the extraordinary possibilities offered by television in the 1980s and 1990s. He also offers more insight into several of the last interviews that he produced.
