Message from the Editor

Starting with this issue, Steven Miles will serve as co-editor of Late Imperial China. He will succeed me as editor-in-chief beginning with the June 2019 issue. The journal’s corresponding address will thus change to smiles@wustl.edu in January 2019.

I have deeply enjoyed my time as editor and the opportunities for service, collaboration, and mentoring that this role has permitted. I am confident that the journal will continue to flourish under Steve’s able leadership and with the support and creativity of the associate editors. It has been a tremendous experience—and on some level, I will be sad to stop. I look forward, however, to finding other roles and venues through which to work with friends and colleagues.
