Secondary Materials from Last Twenty-five Years

What follows is a selected list of monographs, articles, and dissertations on Newman divided into disciplinary categories. An examination of bibliographies within the various disciplines listed here would reveal more works. For example, dozens of articles and books on Newman's technical theology have been published in the last two decades. In the interest of focusing on approaches that have resonance in literary studies, I have left many such works off the list. The categories are general, and many of these articles and books could be listed in more than one of these categories. This list demonstrates the variety and intensity of literary interest still generated by Newman's writing.
