Wetlands '87: Canadian Wetlands Ecology and Conservation Symposium. The National Wetlands Working Group of the Canada Committee on Ecological Land Classification announces that a symposium will be held in Edmonton, Canada, August 26-28, 1987. This symposium is to be held in cooperation with the Canadian National Committee of the International Peat Society and Commission I of the International Peat Society. The theme of the meeting will be advances in Canada or abroad in wetland ecology, utilization, and conservation. The following are topics that will be discussed: wetland dynamics; wetland classification ; wetland ecology; nonconsumptive uses of wetlands; wetland conservation policies and programs. Additional topics will be considered. Contributed papers for presentation at the symposium are solicited. Authors should submit an abstract of no more than 400 words by December I, I986 for consideration by the review committee. If their paper is accepted for presentation , authors will be notified by January I5, I987.
