Abstract

Abstract:

Suhrawardi (d. 1191) has been hailed as a crucial thinker in the history of Islamic philosophy. However, his actual influence remains an open question. To provide a measure for his influence, presented here is a list of all known commentaries on his works. In total, this author has found fifty-eight commentaries, of which at least thirty-one are extant, from all centuries and all corners of the Islamic world.
