Abstract:
Knows-knows principles say that if you know some proposition then you are in a position to know that you know it. This essay introduces and defends a knows-knows principle from an Indian philosopher named Kumārila. While knows-knows principles are often associated with internalists, as he is interpreted here Kumārila's knows-knows principle is externalist.
