News and Events In March, Newman House Press published Oremus—Let Us Pray, a 400-page volume containing the collects of the third typical edition of the Roman Missal in both Latin and English (on facing pages). The calendar employed is that of the United States. Since the collects of the new English translation of the Missale Romanum no longer correspond to the unrevised collects of the Liturgy of the Hours, Oremus—Let Us Pray serves as a handy companion to the breviary for those who wish to pray the hours in English. Father Cassian Folsom, O.S.B., Prior of St Benedict Monastery in Norcia, Italy and board member of The Society for Catholic Liturgy, was the recipient of the Pro Fidelitate et Virtute Award presented by the Institute on Religious Life on Easter Saturday, 14 April. The text of his acceptance speech, “The Inseparable Link Between Holiness and Worship,” appears in this issue of Antiphon. Father Uwe Michael Lang of the Oratory, a member of The Society for Catholic Liturgy, Consultor to the Office for the Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff, and author of Turning Towards the Lord: Orientation in Liturgical Prayer (Ignatius Press, 2004), has recently published another book, The Voice of the Church at Prayer: Reflections on Liturgy and Language (Ignatius Press, 2012).
