George Elliott Clarke is Assistant Professor of English at Duke University and a poet. Alexander Crawley has been President of ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists) since 1991. Donaldson is Associate Professor at George Washington University in Washington where he teaches both English and Anthropology courses. He is author of Native Americans, a U.S. government (Division for the Study of the United States) publication. David Hutchison teaches at Glasgow Caledonian University. His published work has been in the fields of media policy, the history of the modern Scottish theatre, and comparisons between the Scottish and Canadian media situations; he is currently working on a textbook on media policy. He was a governor of the Scottish Film Council from 1987-95 and a member of the BBCs General Advisory Council from 1988-96. Caren Irr is an Assistant Professor of English and American Studies at the Pennsylvania State University. Kevin McGuirkteaches American literature and poetics at the University of Waterloo. He has published a number of essays on poetry and contemporary topics, including "A. R. Ammons and the Whole Earth," Cultural Critique, Fall, 1997. Mavor Moore is Research Professor, Fine Arts and Humanities, University of Victoria; Professor Emeritus, York University; Chair, the British Columbia Arts Council; and former chair of the Canada Council. He is a playwright, lyricist, and author of Slipping on the Verge: The Performing Arts in Canada (1983 ). PaulPatonlectures in Canadian Studies at the University of Toronto. He was Associate Director of the Program between 1994 and 1997. His teaching and research interest concern the intersection of law and culture in Canada and international law issues.
