Abstract

The extraordinary development of artistic technologies leads some theoreticians to conclude that we now live in a world, of images, an apocalyptic space where reality is going to disappear behind the image. In fact, these technologies do not create images, they create more new objects and provoke the same apprehension that was occasioned by previous scientific discoveries. It is, however, in taking them for what they are, that is new scientific realities, that we will avoid the fatal conclusions to which ignorance leads.
