Garman is a third-year graduate student in the PhD Program in American Studies at The Graduate Institute of the Liberal Arts, Emory University. his research interests include American labour history, workingclass cultures, and folk, working-class, and popular music. Randel D. Hanson is a PhD student in the Program in American Studies, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. His dissertation, 10,000 Years of the American Century:Monuments to Cold War Nuclear Waste, engages nuclear waste as the material legacy of the Cold War, as something which shapes social relations, and as something which constitutes our imaginal realms.
