Editor’s Note

The University of Toronto Law Journal is delighted to present a collection of papers that were first given at a symposium on Patrick Macklem’s book, The Sovereignty of Human Rights. The symposium includes a response by the author to the revised papers and is introduced by Karen Knop, who sets Macklem’s book and the different papers in the context of his work as a whole. The Journal thanks both the University of Toronto Press and the Law Faculty of the University of Toronto for their support of this endeavour.
