This essay explores the relationship between a concept of culture and its practical application in the public school drawing courses. It is argued that the place of art and drawing in the curriculum cannot be fully appreciated outside the central educational goal of the formation of selves and the reproduction of the demand structure of culture.
Abstract:
Cet article examine le rapport entre un concept de la culture et l’application du concept dans des cours dé dessin à l’école publique. L’auteur prétend que le rôle de l’art et du dessin dans le curriculum ne peut pas s’isoler du but pédagogique principal, celui de la formation du soi et de la reproduction de la structure exigée par la culture.
