In this issue, we are pleased to feature an article in our exchange between the Canadian Modern Language Review (CMLR) and Recherches et applications / Le français dans le monde. This article, authored by Violaine Bigot, Malory Leclère, and Marcia Romero, is part of the Special Issue Number 61 (2017) of the French journal, entitled « Recherches sur l'acquisition et l'enseignement des langues étrangères: nouvelles perspectives » and compiled by guest editors Daniel Véronique and Véronique Laurens.

We hope that this exchange will provide CMLR readers with novel perspectives on language education. This collaboration between our two journals aims to support scholarship in French and its international diffusion.
