GEORGE L. GECKLE is the author of articles on John Marston ’s The Malcontent, Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, and James Joyce. He is a member of the English Depart­ ment at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. CLAS ZILLIACUS is a research assistant with the Humanities Commission of the Academy of Finland.
