46 THE PAJ CASEBOOK #2 INTO THE WOODS PAJ plans on occasion to feature casebooks offering extended documentation of special theatre events. The first casebook, Robert Wilson's Alcestis, with a prologue by Heiner Miller, appeared in PAJ 28. This time we turn in a completely different direction to look at a Broadway musical, Into the Woods, for PAJ Casebook #2. The musical was originally produced by the Old Globe Theater in San Diego, and opened on Broadway in November 1987. This casebook is based on interviews and documents collected by Nina Mankin, Winter 1987-88.
