Abstract

ABSTRACT:

This essay examines the ways in which Alison Bechdel’s comic strip Dykes to Watch Out For creatively expresses national, domestic politics within the smaller, domestic spaces of homes and communities, focusing narrowly on several exemplary strips that powerfully illustrate Bechdel’s exquisite rendering of the political within the personal sphere.
