Frank, News from Native California, and the Intersections of Literary and Visual Arts,” published in sail 27.3, has won the Native American Literature Symposium’s 2016 Beatrice Medicine Award for the best published academic article of the year. The annual Beatrice Medicine Awards are funded by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University (reddcenter.byu.edu).
