“Inheritance”: This poem explores visibility and disappearance in memory; it is also a sketch of a glance at a historical memory of the early exploration of North America.
“Wallpaper”: After GIlman’s “Yellow Wallpaper” - this poem inhabits a dream-room of irrationality, imagination, and the Janus face of freedom and entrapment. The dream-room is the poem itself and the speaker looking, from within, through its windows and walls.
