Urbanwave-Fountain

Jongsuk Lee has worked to find a sense of formative beauty in dreary cities while looking into nature and human affairs over the last few years. His work shows that cities are more comfortable than nature and includes artifacts in cities as a part of nature. In his recent work Urbanwave-Fountain, golden coins fall like a waterfall or gush like a fountain. They brilliantly spring forth like our desires in life; however, they do not pile up but rather disappear, thus presenting a twofold viewpoint toward the world as well as toward human desires. The two sides resemble two faces in life, with splendor and darkness on opposite sides.
