Abstract

Former Ambassador Krajeski discusses his time as the senior adviser on foreign fighters at the State Department, and the United States’ role in addressing the influx of foreign fighters to ISIL and other extremist groups in Iraq and Syria. He offers his insight on the progress of international cooperation, as well as on the successes and challenges that many countries have experienced in preventing foreign fighters.
