Assisting a Person in a Wheelchair: A Notes on This Guide

My main focus for producing this book was to illustrate the different ways to assist someone in a wheelchair more efficiently. The scenarios that I have illustrated in the book are my own personal experiences. I wanted to share my experiences through simple illustrations that can be easily viewed and understood. My plan for the book is to publish it. What I hope to accomplish by publishing the book is to educate others and raise awareness of the everyday challenges encountered by people with a wheelchair disability.

I was born in the Philippines and moved to the United States of America at an early age. As I grew up here, I found myself drawn to art and technology which led me to pursue a career in graphic design. Despite my physical challenges with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, I found a way to stay positive with art and design. You can occasionally find me painting for someone when I’m not designing.
