Abstract:
This essay is a firm reply to Estelle R. Jorgensen and Iris M. Yob’s deconstruction of Deleuze and Guattari’s A Thousand Plateaus for music education. A close reading is made in an attempt to expose and rectify what is a complete misreading of Deleuze and Guattari’s project. I maintain throughout that the authors are presenting a profile of Deleuze and Guattar’s thought that is precisely in line with the very deconstruction of representation they tried to overcome. The tone of this essay is matched with the tone that the authors claim to be making by heavily and carefully referring to passages throughout their essay.
