Abstract

“Expect Any Answer” explores concepts of fate, desire, and self-determination through the life of poet Frank O’Hara.

The speaker of “Not This Boston” returns to Boston expecting to have an experience similar to one she had nine years earlier. She discovers it wasn’t the city that made her happy oh so long ago, but the body (or bodies) that paired with her own.
